Is Storytellers Australia fully insured and licensed?: Yes, fully. Storytellers Australia holds an official CASA Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator’s Certificate (ReOC), backed by an in-house Chief Remote Pilot and multiple licensed RePL pilots. We carry $20M in General Liability insurance along with dedicated aviation drone insurance. All pilots hold active Construction White Cards, allowing us to deploy safely and compliantly across active building, civil, and industrial sites.
What is your experience level?: We have been using drones for videography extensively since 2017. We do focus on the videography/cinematography side of drone work and although we can assist with more technical drone flights, we are not surveyors.
What is your turnaround time for delivering the final footage?: Some projects require a quick turnaround due to pressing presentations or tenders as well as showcasing timely stages. We can work with you for faster turnaround times.
What drones do you have?: Our main drone is a Mavic 3 Pro Cine. This is capable of 7x lens, D-log and repeat GPS flight paths. We have several other drones depending on availability and suitability to the job.
Do you work with other production houses?: As a Sydney based drone videographer, we frequently work with drone pilots and videographers across the country to get the on location shots we need without needing to travel.
Where can you travel to?: We are based in North Sydney and can travel most of Greater Sydney. Our furthest jobs have been Maitland in the north and Kiama in the South
Can you fly in the harbour and other restricted areas?: Yes. As a CASA-approved ReOC holder managed by an in-house Chief Remote Pilot, we regularly secure authorisations for complex and controlled environments, including Sydney Harbour, CBD exclusion zones, and active infrastructure corridors. We handle the entire approval workflow end-to-end—coordinating directly with CASA, relevant authorities and airbases, local councils, local businesses, residents and facility managers as required to ensure every flight is 100% compliant, safe, and fully insured.
Do you offer full campaign support, or just basic drone recording?: We customise our scope to match your objective. As a full-service creative agency, we handle the complete lifecycle of a campaign—from strategic messaging and audience targeting, through to high-end post-production (motion graphics, 3D overlays, branded animation, custom audio), and multi-platform distribution. However, if you simply need straightforward drone capture and a clean edit for Insta, we have lean capture and cut packages ready when you are.
